Amritsar, April 9 (K.L. Jit Walia) – Senior Congress leader and councillor Rajni Sharma has been appointed as the President of District Mahila Congress Amritsar Urban by the party high command in recognition of her dedicated services to the party.
Expressing gratitude on her appointment Rajni Sharma thanked Alka Lamba President of National Mahila Congress Amrinder Singh Raja Warring Gurjeet Singh Aujla Raj Kumar Verka O P Soni Inderbir Singh Bolaria Sunil Dutti Dinesh Bassi Ashwani Pappu and Saurav Madan Mithu for their support and trust.
She stated that she will fulfill the responsibility entrusted to her with full dedication and honesty and will work tirelessly to strengthen the Congress party. She emphasized that her primary goal is to ensure the formation of a Congress government in Punjab in the 2027 Assembly elections.
Rajni Sharma further added that she will work together with senior leaders to build a strong and active Mahila Congress team in Amritsar. Her appointment has brought a wave of खुशी and enthusiasm among party workers especially women members in the district.
