Amritsar, July 21 (K.L. Jit Walia):Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, IAS (Retd.), Chief Administrator of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib, has expressed special gratitude to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the successful organization of the historic Gurmat events held across the state to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
During a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office in Mumbai, Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh and Jaswant Singh Bobby met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On behalf of the Sikh community, they thanked the Maharashtra Government for its support and honored the Chief Minister by presenting him with a Siropa (robe of honor) and Guru’s Prasad.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh said that the Maharashtra Government recently organized large-scale Gurmat programmes in Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, and Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded. As part of the celebrations, a two-day grand Kirtan Darbar was held at Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, where lakhs of devotees from India and abroad participated.
He said that the Maharashtra Government has always shown deep respect for the Sikh faith and its institutions. The arrangements made for langar (community kitchen), accommodation, medical facilities, and security for lakhs of pilgrims were exemplary and reflected the administration’s dedication. He added that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ personal interest and leadership played a significant role in the success of the events.
Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh also expressed his gratitude to Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa and Shri Rameshwar Naik for their valuable support.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked the management of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib and assured them that the Maharashtra Government would continue to extend full support for future historic Sikh events and the service of the Sikh community.
