Amritsar April 7 — Senior BJP leader and former MLA Harjinder Singh Thekedar stated that the political landscape in Punjab is changing rapidly and people are now looking at the Bharatiya Janata Party as a strong and reliable alternative. He claimed that the people of the state have made up their mind to form a BJP government in 2027.
He said that the popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party is declining quickly in the state. According to him the law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated significantly and issues like drug abuse and gangster culture are negatively impacting the youth. He alleged that the promises and guarantees on which the Aam Aadmi Party came to power have now turned out to be hollow.
Harjinder Singh Thekedar further said that farmers traders laborers and youth are all feeling disappointed and betrayed. He emphasized that people from every section of society are now seeking a better and more stable governance option.
He also highlighted that welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are reaching villages across Punjab. According to him the BJP is working on an agenda of development and social harmony which is strengthening its support base especially in border areas.
The BJP leader asserted that the party is now capable of contesting elections independently in Punjab and securing victory. He mentioned that the party organization is being strengthened at the booth level to ensure better outreach and coordination.
Referring to border regions he said that development work has slowed down and people are struggling for basic facilities. He expressed confidence that only the BJP can lead Punjab towards development and bring prosperity back to the lives of the people.
