Chandigarh, September 6 (K.L. Jit Walia): Chandigarh’s Ishanvi Soni has been selected to represent India at the upcoming World Youth Festival, scheduled to be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11 to 17, 2026.
The international festival is expected to bring together young representatives from more than 190 countries, providing a common platform for youth from across the world to exchange ideas, experiences and perspectives on various global issues.
Currently pursuing BBA LLB, Ishanvi is an alumna of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh. During her school years, she served as Deputy Head Girl and NSS Captain and was also an NCC Cadet.
Known as a talented all-rounder and an effective public speaker, Ishanvi has also remained actively involved in social service activities. In recognition of her achievements in sports, she has been awarded the Chandigarh Sports Scholarship on several occasions.
Expressing her views about participating in the international festival, Ishanvi said that the World Youth Festival offers an important opportunity for young people from across the globe to come together, discuss major global issues and better understand each other’s perspectives.
Her selection to represent India at such a prestigious international youth platform is being seen as a proud achievement for Chandigarh and the country.
