Amritsar, July 19 (K.L. Jit Walia):The annual fair of Hazrat Baba Khwaja Pir Ji was celebrated with great devotion, respect, and religious fervor at the residence of Baba Joginder Pal Ji in Gopal Nagar, Majitha Road. A large number of devotees attended the event, offered prayers, sought blessings, and prayed for the welfare and prosperity of all.
Among those present were Baba Suresh Sharma, Gaddinashin and administrator of the historic Jahra Pir Ji Dargah in Amritsar; former Punjab Cabinet Minister and Congress in-charge for Amritsar North Anil Joshi; chief sevadar of the dargah and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Organizational Secretary Narinder Kumar Tinu; Vice President of the Bharatiya Valmiki Adi Dharam Samaj Punjab, Rajesh Raja; Baba Pragat Singh from Baba Mir Shah Dargah; Baba Dheera from Marri village near Majitha; Bibi Mani; social worker Mama Sikandar; Punjab Police Inspector Balwinder Singh; sevadars Charanjit Singh and Billa, along with many other devotees.
After paying obeisance at the shrine, Anil Joshi said that the blessings of saints and spiritual leaders guide people toward the right path and success in life. He stated that religious places strengthen mutual brotherhood, love, harmony, and social unity. He prayed for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of Punjab and the entire nation, while urging people to live together in unity and harmony.

Addressing the gathering, Baba Suresh Sharma said that in today’s fast-paced life, everyone should devote some time to prayer and remembrance of God. He said that remembering the Almighty brings inner peace, reduces mental stress, and helps people stay away from negative thoughts and harmful influences. He also appealed to the devotees to follow the path of humanity, selfless service, and love.
Religious rituals were performed with great devotion during the event. Devotees received the blessings of Baba Khwaja Pir Ji, and a community langar (free meal) was served at the conclusion of the program, where a large number of people partook in the sacred meal.
