Amritsar, April 23 (K.L. Jit Walia): Dietitian Shweta, Managing Director of Just Diet, stated during a media interaction at the organization’s head office in Gumtala that incorporating gond katira and chana sattu into the daily diet is essential for maintaining good health during changing weather and rising summer temperatures.
She explained that increased heat often leads to dehydration in the body, causing fatigue, weakness, and other related issues. Instead of relying solely on plain water, she suggested adding gond katira and lemon to drinking water, as it helps keep the body cool and hydrated for a longer time.
Dietitian Shweta also recommended consuming chana sattu after returning home from the sun, as it has a naturally cooling effect. It provides instant energy, strengthens the digestive system, and reduces the impact of heat on the body.
She further advised including fresh fruits, cucumber, watermelon, muskmelon, and green salads in the daily diet during summer. These foods have high water content, which helps keep the body hydrated and supports healthy skin.
According to her, individuals aiming to lose or gain weight at home should first focus on maintaining a disciplined routine. Eating on time, getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, and engaging in regular yoga and walking are all essential.
She concluded by emphasizing that a healthy life depends not only on a good diet but also on a proper lifestyle. Small positive changes in daily habits can help prevent many serious health issues.
