Amritsar, March 28 (K. L. Jit Walia): Prominent hotelier, well-known social worker, and patron of the Amritsar Marriage Palace Association, Jagmohan Dara, has urged the district administration to ensure a regular supply of gas cylinders to the city’s hotel industry. He stated that due to the ongoing shortage of gas cylinders, the hotel business has been facing a serious crisis in recent times.
Jagmohan Dara explained that the hotel and restaurant industry is entirely dependent on gas cylinders, but disruptions in supply are causing heavy daily losses to business owners. He warned that if the situation does not improve जल्द, many hotels may be forced to shut down.
He further added that Amritsar is a major religious and tourist destination, where a large number of tourists and pilgrims arrive daily from across the country and abroad. In such a situation, disruptions in food services at hotels are causing significant inconvenience not only to locals but also to visitors.
Dara emphasized that the issue is not limited to business alone but is also linked to the city’s reputation. If tourists do not receive proper facilities, it could negatively impact tourism and the local economy.
He appealed to the district administration and concerned departments to treat this issue as a priority and ensure continuous supply of gas cylinders to the hotel industry. In conclusion, he expressed hope that the administration will resolve the issue soon, providing relief to the hotel sector and ensuring the smooth functioning of the city’s commercial and tourism activities.
