Amritsar, June 17 (K.L. Jit Walia): Three Congress Members of Parliament from Punjab met All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and congratulated him on being elected to a second term in the Rajya Sabha.
The MPs — Gurjeet Singh Aujla (Amritsar), Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi (Patiala), and Dr. Amar Singh (Sri Fatehgarh Sahib) — extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Kharge, expressing confidence that the party would become even stronger under his leadership.
During the meeting, the MPs noted that Kharge’s long political career, extensive administrative experience, and unwavering commitment to constitutional values are among the Congress Party’s greatest strengths. They said his continuous efforts toward social justice, strengthening democracy, and protecting the rights of ordinary citizens serve as an inspiration for party leaders and workers across the country.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla stated that under Kharge’s leadership, the Congress Party continues to raise issues of public concern forcefully and remains committed to safeguarding democratic institutions and the spirit of the Constitution.
