Jit Walia, Amritsar:- The Chief Coordinator of the “Clean Amritsar Green Amritsar” awareness campaign, Varinder Singh, along with his team, shared the history of Safar-e-Shahadat with the people. As every year, warm milk langar was organized near the bus stand in memory of Baba Moti Ram Mehra Ji.
On this occasion, the entire “Clean Amritsar Green Amritsar” team and MLA from North Constituency, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, actively participated in the service of the warm milk langar and personally distributed the milk.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh said that the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas should always be remembered. The family of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and all four Sahibzadas made supreme sacrifices against oppression. After the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas, Hindus, Sikhs, and Muslims united and stood together against tyranny.
He said that the common people had understood that oppression has no religion; a tyrant is only a tyrant. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh further stated that after the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas, Guru Gobind Singh Ji sent Banda Singh Bahadur to fight against oppression. At that time, Hindus, Sikhs, and Muslims all stood together with Banda Singh Bahadur and completely eradicated tyranny.
He emphasized that this is why we should share our history with our children, and on the night of December 31, when the New Year begins, we should remember Akaal Purakh at religious places and in our homes.
