Amritsar (KL JIT WALIA):- Karamjit Singh Rintu, Chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust and Aam Aadmi Party In-charge of the North Assembly Constituency, today distributed letters for the release of funds to 100 beneficiaries under the Housing Scheme for the construction of permanent roofs for their homes.
On this occasion, Karamjit Singh Rintu stated that for the past several months, people in the area had been continuously made aware of the government’s housing scheme. Applications were filled from needy families living in houses with temporary roofs so that permanent roofs could be constructed. After consistent follow-up by the Municipal Corporation team, this important achievement has been accomplished today.
He said that the main objective of the Aam Aadmi Party government is to strengthen the weaker sections of society through people-centric policies that ensure their rightful entitlements. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government prioritizes providing every citizen with housing, healthcare, education, and basic amenities. He added that continuous efforts will be made to ensure that the benefits of this scheme reach every eligible household.
Karamjit Singh Rintu further said that letters for the release of funds have been distributed today under the Housing Scheme, through which approval has been granted to these beneficiaries for the construction of permanent houses. Under this scheme, each family will be provided a total financial assistance of ₹2.5 lakh for building a permanent home.
Senior Deputy Mayor Priyanka Sharma, Ritesh Sharma, Municipal Assistant Commissioner Vishal Wadhawan, Superintendent Lovleen Sharma, Balwinder Kala, Kajal Bobby, Vishakha Singh, and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
