BJP Workers Celebrate Appointment in Manipur: Hemant Mehra
Amritsar, February 2, 2026:- The appointment of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh as the Central Observer for the election of the Leader of the Legislative Party in Manipur by the BJP Parliamentary Board has created an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm among BJP workers and supporters across Punjab, including Amritsar. This appointment reflects the party’s top leadership’s strong confidence in Tarun Chugh’s organisational experience, political balance, and leadership abilities.
On this occasion, senior BJP leader from Amritsar Hemant Mehra ‘Pinky’ expressed gratitude to the BJP’s top leadership and the Parliamentary Board for entrusting Tarun Chugh with this important responsibility. He said that the party has once again shown its faith in Tarun Chugh, who will discharge this duty with complete dedication, impartiality, and in accordance with organisational discipline and democratic values.
Hemant Mehra stated that ensuring the election of the Legislative Party leader in a sensitive and strategically important state like Manipur in a united and democratic manner would be Tarun Chugh’s top priority. He added that the BJP has always believed in decision-making through dialogue, coordination, and organisational discipline, and the same approach will be followed in Manipur as well.
He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP remains committed to providing strong and stable leadership in every state, guided by the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”
BJP leaders and workers in Amritsar congratulated Tarun Chugh on being entrusted with this responsibility, stating that this appointment not only reflects his personal political stature but is also a matter of pride for Punjab and Amritsar. They said the party has assigned this crucial task to an experienced and trustworthy organisational leader, which will further strengthen the party’s internal democratic processes.
