Amritsar, August 2 (Uppal):on the third Sunday of the holy month of Sawan, a massive number of devotees gathered at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple located within Shri Durgiana Tirth to offer prayers. From the early hours of the morning, devotees began arriving at the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Lakshmi Narayan and perform traditional rituals with great devotion. They prayed for the happiness, prosperity, good health, and well-being of their families.
The entire temple complex was immersed in a deeply devotional atmosphere throughout the day. Devotees participated in bhajans, devotional hymns, and chants while offering prayers and seeking divine blessings. A large number of newly married couples also visited the temple, beautifully dressed and carrying floral offerings, praying for a happy married life, healthy children, and family prosperity.
The temple priests explained the religious significance of the holy month of Sawan, stating that worshipping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi with devotion during this sacred period brings peace, prosperity, and happiness into one’s life.
Considering the large turnout of devotees, the temple management committee made special arrangements for smooth darshan, worship, and security. Volunteers assisted devotees in maintaining orderly queues and ensuring hassle-free darshan. Devotees continued to visit the temple throughout the day, filling the entire premises with faith, devotion, and spiritual enthusiasm.
