Security and business-related issues discussed during the first meeting chaired by Goldsmith Welfare Board Chairman Chandan Luthra

The first important meeting of the Goldsmith Welfare Board was held in Baba Bakala Sahib under the leadership of the newly appointed Chairman Chandan Luthra. A large number of goldsmith traders from the constituency participated and raised concerns related to their businesses and security before the administration.
MLA Dalbir Singh Tong, DSP Baba Bakala Sukhpal Singh, SHO Beas Inspector Gurvinder Singh, and other administrative officials were also present. The meeting focused on discussions regarding the security of the goldsmith community, coordination with the police, and various business-related challenges. Representatives of the community highlighted their concerns before MLA Dalbir Singh Tong.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Dalbir Singh Tong said that the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare of every section of society, and the genuine demands of the goldsmith community will be addressed on a priority basis. He stated that ensuring the safety of traders and creating a business-friendly environment remains one of the government’s top priorities. During the event, he also felicitated Chairman Chandan Luthra on assuming his new responsibility.
Chairman Chandan Luthra thanked the Punjab Government for entrusting him with the responsibility and assured that he would discharge his duties with honesty and dedication. He said that his foremost priority would be to bring every genuine issue of the goldsmith community before the government and the administration to ensure its early resolution.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the goldsmith community expressed satisfaction with the assurances given by the administration and emphasized that such meetings should be held regularly to ensure timely resolution of traders’ issues. The community also honored MLA Dalbir Singh Tong during the event.
