Amritsar, August 1 (K.L. Jit Walia):The second volume of the English interpretation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, titled “My Spiritual Voyage Through World Divine Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji,” authored by S. Surinderjit Singh Pal, Head of the Kesh Sambhal Prachar Sanstha, Member of the Chief Khalsa Diwan, and retired Chief Income Tax Commissioner, was formally released today at the Kalghidhar Auditorium, Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar. The event was presided over by Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, President of the Chief Khalsa Diwan.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the initiative taken by Surinderjit Singh Pal to spread the universal message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji across the world is highly commendable. He stated that the book will help readers living abroad and those unfamiliar with the Punjabi language understand the true meaning and teachings of Gurbani.
Among those present were Chief Khalsa Diwan Vice Presidents Santokh Singh Sethi and Kuljit Singh Sahni, Honorary Secretary Ramnik Singh, Additional Honorary Secretary Jaspal Singh Dhillon, Rabinderbir Singh Bhalla, Rajinder Singh Marwaha, Dr. Santokh Singh, Manpreet Singh, Sarjot Singh Sahni, Dr. Atamjit Singh Basra, Kulwinder Singh Marwaha, Inderjit Singh Arri, and Advocate Jaswinder Singh.
Dr. Rajveer Kaur from Guru Nanak Dev University, who had academically reviewed the book before publication, was also present.
Ramnik Singh, Rajinder Singh Marwaha, and Harpal Singh Ahluwalia, Convener of the Sultan-ul-Qaum S. Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Federation, emphasized that the universal message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, promoting equality and the welfare of all humanity, should be translated into every language so it can reach people across the globe.
Author S. Surinderjit Singh Pal thanked the gathering and informed that the first volume of the series was released last year at Guru Nanak Dev University, while the second volume has now been published. He also revealed that the complete English interpretation will consist of seven volumes.
The event was attended by Giani Keval Singh, Sarabjit Singh Gumtala, Harpreet Singh Bedi, Judgebir Singh Ahluwalia, Dr. Tajinder Singh Ahluwalia, Darshan Singh Sandhu, Surinder Singh Ahluwalia, Gurpinder Singh, along with a large number of religious, educational, and social personalities.
