After assuming charge as the newly appointed BJP Amritsar Urban District President, Salil Kapoor, along with members of the district core committee and district team, visited Sri Durgiana Temple, Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, and the Central Bhagwan Valmiki Temple (Hathi Gate) to seek divine blessings.
At Sri Durgiana Temple, the President of the Sri Durgiana Committee, Prof. Lakshmikanta Chawla, General Secretary Arun Khanna, and other committee members welcomed Salil Kapoor and honored him with a siropa (ceremonial robe) and a commemorative memento.
Later, Salil Kapoor and his team paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, where they prayed for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in the country and Punjab.
During the religious visit, they also visited the Central Bhagwan Valmiki Temple, where Salil Kapoor offered prayers and reaffirmed his commitment to following the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki.
As part of the BJP leadership’s “Deep Prajwalan” (Lamp Lighting) campaign organized on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, Salil Kapoor, along with members of the district core committee and district team, lit ceremonial lamps at the Central Bhagwan Valmiki Temple and sought blessings.
On the occasion, Salil Kapoor extended his greetings to the citizens of Amritsar and BJP workers on Guru Purnima and Guru Ravidas Jayanti. He urged everyone to follow the teachings of their spiritual gurus and Sant Guru Ravidas Ji.
He said that beginning his new responsibilities after seeking blessings from the holy city of Amritsar was a matter of great fortune. Strengthening the party at the grassroots level, working closely with party workers, and giving priority to addressing public issues would remain the key focus of his leadership and team.
