Annual Fair of Hazrat Baba Jahara Pir Ji Concludes with Devotion and Enthusiasm Under the Leadership of Gaddinashin Suresh Sharma

The annual fair of Hazrat Baba Jahara Pir Ji, held at the historic and renowned shrine near Hall Gate, Amritsar, was celebrated with great devotion, religious fervor, and communal harmony. Organized under the leadership of the shrine’s Gaddinashin and administrator Suresh Sharma, the event witnessed the participation of thousands of devotees from different parts of Punjab.
Devotees paid their respects at the shrine and prayed for the welfare of humanity, peace and prosperity for their families, and the progress of the nation.
Chief shrine volunteers Narinder Kumar Tinu and Manoj Sharma stated that, as every year, devotees from far-off places visited the shrine to seek Baba Ji’s blessings. They said that the shrine is a symbol of unwavering faith and that sincere prayers offered here are fulfilled. They also highlighted that the shrine promotes religious harmony, brotherhood, and humanity, attracting people from all faiths.
Among the distinguished guests present were Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Wing (Majha Zone) and President of the Ajnala Bar Association; Amandeep Kaur, ADCP Traffic, Amritsar Police; Vikas Soni, son of former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Om Prakash Soni; Amit Joshi, son of North Constituency In-charge Anil Joshi; social worker Mama Sikandar Singh; Inspectors Amarjeet Singh, Navneet Kaur, and Vikrant; Vice President of Bharatiya Valmiki Adi Dharam Samaj Rajesh Raja; Chairman of Nav Nirman Society Amritsar Arun Mahajan; Ashwani Narang; social activist Shivani Bhagat; and K.L. Jeet Walia, Editor-in-Chief of Punjab Media Times, along with several religious, social, and political personalities.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar said that saints and spiritual leaders have always spread the message of humanity, love, service, truth, and communal harmony. He emphasized that saints are messengers of God and deserve respect. He further stated that all religions teach values of love, service, compassion, and coexistence, which should be incorporated into daily life.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Sharma said that in today’s fast-paced world, every individual should remember and meditate on God. He noted that devotion to God brings peace of mind and positivity into life.
Amit Joshi emphasized the importance of respecting all religions and celebrating every festival with mutual love and brotherhood. He stated that Punjab has always been a symbol of communal harmony and religious unity, and preserving this legacy is a collective responsibility.
During the fair, religious rituals were performed with devotion, and special arrangements for community meals (langar) and other services were made for devotees. The atmosphere throughout the event reflected faith, harmony, brotherhood, and religious unity.
At the conclusion of the event, the shrine management thanked all devotees, guests, and volunteers for making the fair a success and prayed for the well-being of all, national progress, peace, and global harmony.
