Amritsar, September 15 (Harpinder Soni): Representatives and leaders of the Valmiki community from different cities of Punjab visited Haryana and met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. A delegation from Amritsar, led by Naresh Vaid and Sanjeev Atwal, held a special meeting with the Haryana Chief Minister.
During the meeting, Amritsar BJP Ward No. 12 in-charge and Amritsar BJP District Secretary Shakti Kalyan and Rohit Sidhu honoured the visiting Valmiki community leaders by presenting them with a picture of the pilgrimage site associated with Bhagwan Shri Valmiki Ji.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini welcomed the Valmiki community leaders from Amritsar. He said that the Valmiki community had made an important contribution to the formation of the BJP government in Haryana. He further said that the Haryana government remained committed to the interests of the Valmiki community and to welfare schemes for the people.
During the interaction, the visiting leaders said that the BJP government in Haryana had given due respect and recognition to the Valmiki community and had worked towards strengthening the development of the community and addressing its concerns.
The leaders also expressed their support for the BJP, stating that members of the Valmiki community in Punjab would stand firmly with the party in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
The statements regarding political support were made by the visiting community leaders during the meeting.
