Amritsar, June 13 (K.L. Jit Walia) — An important meeting of Kesh Sambhal Prachar Sanstha was held with the objective of providing financial assistance to needy and meritorious students to continue their school education.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the organization, S. Surinderjit Singh Ji Pal (former Chief Income Tax Commissioner).
During the meeting, applications and documents of students who expressed inability to pay their school fees and had submitted forms to the organization were reviewed. S. Surinderjit Singh Ji Pal informed that a verification committee has been constituted to thoroughly examine and verify all applications. Based on the committee’s report, the eligible students’ fees will be directly paid to their respective schools by the organization.
On this occasion, renowned writer and social worker Mr. Preet Ankhi, who specially came from England, and Rajinder Singh Marwaha also participated in the meeting. They were honored by the organization with a siropa (ceremonial robe of honor) and were presented with a commemorative gift, including a part of the first English translation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
The meeting was attended by trustees including S. Jajvir Singh Ahluwalia, Dr. Tajinder Pal Singh Ahluwalia, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur Sohal, S. Harpal Singh Ahluwalia, S. Manjit Singh Bhatia, S. Surinderjit Singh Ahluwalia, S. Darshan Singh Sandhu, along with other office bearers and members of the organization.
Office bearers S. Jajvir Singh Ahluwalia and S. Harpal Singh Ahluwalia stated that no deserving and talented student should be deprived of education due to financial constraints. They emphasized that the organization is working with full commitment to this cause and will continue such public welfare and education-related initiatives in the future.
