Amritsar, June 10 (K.L. Jit Walia):An important meeting was held at the residence of senior Punjab Congress leader and probable Congress candidate from the Central Assembly constituency, Sanjeev Arora. Senior Congress leader from the South Assembly constituency, Jagdeep Singh Rinku Narula, was specially present on the occasion.
During the meeting, Vipan Anand was felicitated for being appointed as SIR Coordinator, while Sanjay Sagar Gupta was honored on his appointment as Senior Vice President of the District Congress Committee. Party leaders stated that these appointments would strengthen the party organization and further reinforce democratic processes.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjeev Arora said that the appointment of an SIR Coordinator would help make voter lists more transparent and accurate in the city. This would reduce discrepancies in electoral rolls while ensuring that genuine and eligible voters can exercise their voting rights without difficulty.
He emphasized that the Congress Party has always stood for democracy, secularism, development, and public welfare. Arora urged party workers to actively reach out to people in their respective areas and spread awareness about the Congress Party’s pro-people policies and ideology so that more citizens can connect with the party.
Among those present were Anil Sharma, Sunny Arora, Ruby Bhatia, Shubham Kapoor, Kaushal Anand, Harpratap Singh, Mahinderveer Singh, Ajay Luthra, Ajay Maheshwari, along with a large number of senior leaders and Congress workers.
