Said: The sacrifice of Martyr ASI Joga Singh will always be remembered with pride and honor
Batala, May 31 (Balwinder Bhalla): Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak and Punjab Working President as well as Batala MLA Aman Sher Singh Sherry Kalsi today visited the residence of martyred Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Joga Singh in village Ghaniye Ke Bangar to pay their respects and express condolences to the bereaved family. Chairman Joban Randhawa was also present on the occasion.
After meeting the family, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that ASI Joga Singh upheld the highest traditions of the Punjab Police through his courage, dedication, and selfless service, making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He stated that Joga Singh’s sacrifice would always be remembered with pride and honor.
The minister said that ASI Joga Singh (54), who joined the Punjab Police as a constable in 1989 and was currently serving in the Traffic Staff of the Amritsar Commissionerate Police, lost his life while performing his duty on May 24, 2026. He is survived by his mother, wife, son, and daughter.
Kataruchak further stated that the martyrdom of ASI Joga Singh would forever remain a source of pride and respect. Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, he assured the family that the Punjab Government stands firmly with them during this difficult time and is committed to providing all possible assistance.
On this occasion, Punjab Working President and MLA Sherry Kalsi expressed deep condolences to the family and assured them that the Punjab Government would stand by them in this challenging period and provide every possible support.
He also stated that those responsible for this heinous crime would be brought to justice. Kalsi added that the Punjab Government is fully committed to supporting the family of ASI Joga Singh and ensuring that they receive all entitled welfare benefits and assistance.
