Amritsar, May 24 (K.L. Jit Walia) — On the final day of the Municipal Council election campaign, the Aam Aadmi Party organized a massive road show in Majitha under the leadership of constituency incharge Talbir Singh Gill. Party candidates, workers, and a large number of local residents participated enthusiastically in the event. The road show began from the old bus stand and passed through various markets and areas of the town.
Speaking on the occasion, Talbir Singh Gill alleged that over the past 40 years, the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Congress Party focused only on filling their own pockets in the name of development, while no real progress was made for the city.
He said that during the Municipal Council election campaign, he got the opportunity to visit every street and neighborhood of the city, where people extended strong support to the Aam Aadmi Party and highlighted several basic civic problems.
Gill stated that Majitha has long been facing serious issues related to drinking water, sewerage, and garbage disposal, but these problems have not been resolved so far. He appealed to the public to vote for Aam Aadmi Party candidates on the “broom” election symbol so that the city’s development could be carried out with complete transparency and priority.
He further said that Majitha would be transformed into a model town and no shortage would be allowed in development works. Gill also claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party is certain to form the government again in 2027 and that the party has honestly fulfilled the promises made to the people.
Among those present on the occasion were Baljinder Singh Chhina, Poonam, Azad Singh, Sukhmeet Kaur, Parmjeet Kaur, Uday Singh, Madam Nisha, Jaipal Mahajan, Neeraj Kumar, Bachittar Singh Mattewal, Bimla Vanti, Harvinder Singh, Balwant Singh, Jatinder Kumar, Roopa, Satinder Singh Shah, Harbhoopinder Singh Shah, Parmjeet Singh Pamma, Jaswant Singh, Satwant Singh Sandhu, Raj Balwinder Singh Fauji, Mohan Nanda, Sukhjinder Singh Bittu, along with a large number of party leaders and workers.
