Amritsar, May 9 (K.L. Jit Walia) – To celebrate the completion of 25 years of People for Human Rights and under a special campaign launched to honor officers rendering outstanding services, ADCP Special Harpal Singh, who has been performing remarkable duties in the holy city of Amritsar, was honored with a memento and a plant by Chief Dr. Charanjit Singh Chetanpura and Chairman Ginny Bhatia, following the directions of Police Commissioner Amritsar Gurpreet Singh Bhullar.
On this occasion, ADCP Harpal Singh thanked the organization and said that the police department would fully support organizations working to spread awareness about maintaining a clean environment and eliminating drug abuse from society.
Chief Dr. Charanjit Singh Chetanpura and Ginny Bhatia said that under this campaign, plantation drives would be initiated in every police station and police post across the city. They also stated that full support would be extended to the anti-drug campaign being run by Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar to make society drug-free.
They further informed that other officers would also be honored with mementos as part of this campaign.
On this occasion, Rajesh Sachdeva, Chairman PFHR Amritsar, Pawan Bhatia General Secretary, Deepak Chadha Secretary, Harinderpal Soni President Hotel Association, Surinder Kumar Press Secretary, Sumit Kumar, Sahil Mahajan, Anita Sharma, Sunita Chheharta, Gurmeet Kaur and other members were also present.
