Amritsar, February 5 (K.L. Jit Walia) – In a special and inspiring program organized by the Rajpal International Gallery of Fine Art, the Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh, was specially honored. Renowned Indian painter Rajpal Sultan presented him with a beautiful hand-painted artwork as a mark of respect and appreciation. The event symbolized a wonderful blend of art and education, with the participation of scholars, artists, and prominent members of society.
On this occasion, artist Rajpal Sultan said that honoring personalities who have made outstanding contributions in the field of education serves as a great source of inspiration for society. He added that due to the visionary thinking and strong leadership of Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Guru Nanak Dev University has achieved significant milestones in education, research, and cultural activities. He said the painting he created is not only a piece of art but also a symbol of dedication to education and culture.
Expressing his views, Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh said that the honor is not only for him but also a matter of pride for the entire Guru Nanak Dev University family. He emphasized that the main objective of the university is to promote art, culture, and human values along with education. He said that art makes human life more sensitive and creative and plays an important role in shaping the personality of students.
He also mentioned that since assuming the role of Vice Chancellor, the university has set several new benchmarks. Continuous efforts are being made to raise the standard of education, strengthen research work, and provide new facilities for students. He added that establishing a stronger national and international identity for the university remains one of his top priorities.
On this occasion, the Registrar of Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof. Karamjeet Singh Chehal, also appreciated Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh and said that under his leadership, the university is continuously achieving new milestones of development. He stated that due to his administrative vision and dedication, the academic and administrative system of the university has become even stronger.
During the program, the Security Officer of Guru Nanak Dev University, Harvinder Singh Sandhu, and the Editor-in-Chief of Punjab Media Times, K.L. Jeet Walia, were also present. They stated that such events further strengthen the connection between education and art and inspire the younger generation.
