New State President to Be Appointed Soon: Smt. Manju Chhibber
Chandigarh, September 14 (K.L. Jit Walia): With political activities gaining momentum in Punjab ahead of the upcoming elections, the Republican Party of India (Athawale), a national-level political party, has taken a major organisational decision by dissolving all committees of its Punjab unit with immediate effect.
Smt. Manju Chhibber, former National Women’s Front President and former North India President, issued an official press note announcing the decision in accordance with the directions of Union Minister of State and RPI (Athawale) National President Shri Ramdas Athawale.
Clarifying the organisational position, Smt. Manju Chhibber said that Kulwant Singh is neither the president of Punjab RPI (Athawale) nor does he hold any authorised post, responsibility or charge related to the state of Punjab.
She stated that the decision to dissolve all committees of the Punjab unit was primarily taken in view of alleged anti-party activities being carried out by certain members of the party. According to her, the move has been made with the objective of strengthening and reactivating the organisation in the state.
New State President to Be Appointed Soon
Smt. Manju Chhibber said that before the upcoming elections, RPI (Athawale) National President and Union Minister of State Shri Ramdas Athawale would soon announce the new state president of the party in Punjab to strengthen its organisational structure.
Following the appointment of the new state president, a new and active state committee will be constituted in Punjab. She said the party’s objective is to further strengthen its organisation in the state and give a new direction to its activities ahead of the upcoming elections.
