Amritsar, August 26 (K.L. Jit Walia): Under the leadership of Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, MLA from Amritsar South, the Bilas Foundation, in collaboration with Tera Hi Tera Mission Hospital, Chandigarh and Shaheed Udham Singh Foundation, Amritsar, will organize a free mega medical camp with the objective of providing quality healthcare services to the public.
Giving information about the camp, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the camp will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Bhawan, Gate Bhagtan Wala, Amritsar. The camp will remain open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Dr. Nijjar said that various health screening facilities will be provided free of cost during the camp. These will include FibroScan, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, blood pressure check-up, mammography and neuro scan, among other facilities. Free medicines will also be provided to needy patients.
Dr. Nijjar appealed to people to make maximum use of the free medical camp and undergo necessary health check-ups. He specifically informed that a four-hour fast will be mandatory for patients undergoing FibroScan testing.
He said that the primary objective of the camp is to create greater awareness among people about their health and provide needy individuals with access to free medical examinations, medicines and treatment facilities.
