Chogawan, August 24 (Bagi): An annual religious fair in memory of Dhan Dhan Baba Meera Patshah Ji was organized at village Kohali with the cooperation of village residents, NRI community members and Sarpanch Gurjant Singh.
The annual fair began with members of the search and fair organizing committee offering a chadar at the shrine and seeking blessings.
A special cultural programme was also organized during the fair. Renowned Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu entertained the audience for around two hours with his songs, drawing a large gathering.
In the evening, a traditional wrestling competition (Kushti Dangal) was organized, in which wrestlers competed against each other. The winning wrestlers were honoured with cash prizes running into lakhs of rupees.
On the occasion, Sarpanch Gurjant Singh and the fair organizing committee specially thanked Madam Sonia Mann for attending the event and honoured her.
Among those present on the occasion were Manbir Olakh, Malkit Pehalwan, Gora Kohali, Vishal Saggu, Navjot USA, Kinderbir Olakh, Raja Kohali, Prabh Simran Olakh, Love Saggu, Raj Simran Olakh, Prabh Kohali, Vishal, Karma Bai, Kanwar Chogawan, Gaggu Kohali, Kalu, Love, Gora, Karan Sarkaria and several other dignitaries and villagers.
