Amritsar, August 20 (K.L. Jit Walia): The Punjabi Cultural Sanstha and Sahitya Manch Amritsar organized a special cultural programme titled “Virse De Rang – Ubharde Kalakaran De Sang” at Virsa Vihar, Amritsar. The programme was organized under the leadership of Chairman S. Jasbir Singh Jhabal, President Dr. Rajbir Kaur ‘Bir’ Grewal, General Secretary S. Satbir Singh and Convener Prof. Mandeep Kaur Ball.
The programme was presided over by eminent theatre personality Shri Kewal Dhaliwal. SardarnI Jagir Kaur Mirankot attended as the chief guest, while S. Gurdev Singh Mehalanwala and celebrity guest Mandeep Kaur Chhutki were present as special guests.
Students from different schools presented various colours of Punjabi heritage through folk songs, folk dances and a street play, captivating the audience with their performances.
Emerging Artists Honoured
During the programme, emerging artists who have achieved recognition at the national level in sports, culture, literature and arts were honoured with special awards.
The organization presented the Shiromani Poet S. Hari Singh Garib Award to emerging child artist and poet Rajveer Singh.

- “Bhangre Da Gabhru” Award – Waris Preet Singh
Waleen Kaur and Prabhleen Kaur were also specially honoured with mementoes.
Cultural Performances Mesmerize Audience
A street play was presented by Daljit Sohna’s team, conveying an important social message.
Child artists including Daljit Sohna, Anmol Singha, Jasmeet Singh, Prabhjot Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Harsh, Sahib, Vani, Maninder Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Amanat Bir Singh, Prabh Noor Kaur, Amaira Madan, Anmol Kaur, Kirpanjot Singh, Mansiirat Kaur, Rudransh Sareen, Sangeet Soni, Agam Sharma and Riyash Sharma, among others, presented impressive performances in singing, Giddha, Bhangra, Gatka, archery, theatre and other art forms.
The “Surāṅ Di Malka” Award was presented to Baljit Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Daljit Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur and Manpreet sisters for their contribution to Punjabi folk boliyan. Their lively boliyan accompanied by the beats of the dhol created an energetic atmosphere and encouraged the audience to join in the celebrations.
S. Satbir Singh was honoured with the “Maanavta Da Masiha” Award for his contribution as a social worker and his continued efforts towards serving humanity.
Guests Praise Efforts to Preserve Punjabi Heritage
Presiding over the programme, renowned theatre personality Kewal Dhaliwal appreciated the initiative and congratulated Chairman Jasbir Singh Jhabal, President Dr. Rajbir Kaur ‘Bir’ Grewal and General Secretary S. Satbir Singh.
Chief guest SardarnI Jagir Kaur, along with other distinguished guests, shared their valuable thoughts and congratulated the organizers for promoting Punjabi culture and encouraging young talent.
Several personalities, artists, educationists, social workers and cultural enthusiasts also attended the event.
At the conclusion, Chairman S. Jasbir Singh Jhabal expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, special invitees, artists and culture lovers for making the event successful.
The programme, titled “Virse De Rang – Ubharde Kalakaran De Sang,” concluded on a memorable note, leaving behind beautiful memories and a strong message of preserving Punjabi heritage and encouraging emerging artists.
