Continuous action against drug traffickers by C Division Police; several cases registered
Amritsar, July 25 (Phuljit Singh): SHO Ranjit Singh Dhariwal of Police Station C Division (Urban) has issued a stern warning to drug traffickers, stating that no one involved in the illegal drug trade in the city will be spared. He said that under the directions of Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, a special campaign is being carried out against drug smugglers, and the drive is yielding encouraging results.
Speaking to the media, SHO Dhariwal said that C Division Police has registered several cases against individuals involved in drug trafficking and that strict legal action will continue against all offenders without any leniency. He added that those drug traffickers who are still absconding will soon be brought within the ambit of the law.
He further stated that, apart from drug trafficking, strict action will also be taken against anti-social elements involved in hooliganism and other criminal activities. He appealed to the public to share any information related to drug trafficking or criminal activities with the police so that society can be made drug-free and safer.
SHO Ranjit Singh Dhariwal assured citizens that law and order in the city would be maintained at all costs and that criminals would be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
