Amritsar, July 2 (Phulljit Singh Verpal/Manjit Singh Mehra): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has launched the “Chief Minister Mothers and Daughters Honor Scheme.” To mark the occasion, a special event was organized in Amritsar East Assembly constituency under the leadership of senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Amir Singh Ghulli and Ward No. 32 Councillor Jagmeet Singh Ghulli.
A large number of women and local residents from Ward No. 32 participated in the event, and sweets were distributed at Ghulli’s office to celebrate the launch of the scheme. Gurmeet Singh, Jatinder Singh, Avtar Singh, Nirmal Singh, Inderjit Kaur, and Kiran Kaur were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Amir Singh Ghulli and Councillor Jagmeet Singh Ghulli said that the launch of the Chief Minister Mothers and Daughters Honor Scheme is a historic step towards women’s economic empowerment and strengthening families. They stated that the scheme would enhance the dignity and respect of women across Punjab.
They further said that, by fulfilling its promise, the Punjab Government has credited ₹3,000 and ₹4,500 into the bank accounts of eligible women under the scheme. According to them, the Bhagwant Mann government is consistently fulfilling its commitments, and the benefits of welfare schemes are reaching people directly.
The women present at the event expressed their happiness and thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Punjab Government for launching the initiative.
