Amritsar, June 18 (K.L. Jit Walia): On the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, revered for guiding humanity through divine teachings and Gurbani, Sikh devotees S. Davinder Singh, S. Raminder Singh, and S. Maninder Singh organized a Chhabeel (sweetened cold water distribution service) in remembrance of the Guru’s supreme sacrifice.
The community service initiative received wholehearted support from World Sikh Chamber of Commerce Punjab Chairman S. Rajinder Singh Marwaha and Amritsar Chapter Chairman S. Harpreet Singh Bhatia.
Several prominent members and volunteers participated in serving sweetened cold water to devotees and the public. Those who rendered service included Jatinderpal Singh Bobby Badshah, Shashi Shah, Rupinder Singh Kataria, CA Amarjeet Singh Narang, noted architect Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia, Sarbrinder Singh Sonu Sultanwind, Mandeep Singh, and many other Sikh devotees.
On the occasion, Rajinder Singh Marwaha, Harpreet Singh Bhatia, and Jatinderpal Singh Bobby Badshah honored the volunteers who organized and served the Chhabeel by presenting them with ceremonial shawls as a mark of appreciation and respect.
