Sydney, June 16 (Navjit Sonu): During his ongoing Gurmat preaching tour in Australia, Sant Baba Sukha Singh Ji, head of Kar Sewa Sarhali Sahib, has been visiting Sikh congregations across various cities. Through his discourses, Baba Ji has been inspiring devotees to engage in sewa (selfless service) and simran (meditation), remain connected to the Punjabi language, stay away from drugs, and embrace the Sikh way of life by taking Amrit.
In recognition of the humanitarian services being carried out by Baba Ji, especially his relief efforts during floods in Punjab, Sikh communities have been continuously honoring him at various places. Continuing this tradition, the Sikh congregation of Oran Park, Sydney, honored Sant Baba Sukha Singh Ji today.
Among those present on the occasion were Parminder Kaur, Parminder Singh, Gurinder Singh, Harpreet Kaur, Lovepreet Singh, Anmol Singh, Sanampreet Singh, and many other members of the Sikh community.
Speaking on the occasion, Parminder Singh said:
> “Today we feel extremely happy because the embodiment of selfless service, Sant Baba Sukha Singh Ji, is present among the Sikh community in Sydney. Through the remarkable services rendered during the devastating floods of 2023, Baba Ji became an inspiration and guiding force for many service organizations and volunteer groups. As a result, when even more severe floods struck in 2025, there was an overwhelming response from volunteers and relief workers.”
He further stated that apart from several relief initiatives, Baba Ji also undertook the service of restoring hundreds of acres of farmland affected by the 2025 floods, enabling poor farmers to sow wheat once again. It has also been learned that Baba Ji is currently involved in preventive measures to strengthen embankments and flood protection infrastructure to reduce future flood damage.
Parminder Singh added, “We wholeheartedly welcome Baba Ji and present this token of honor in recognition of his invaluable service to humanity.”
