Gurjeet Aujla Calls for Strengthening Democracy Through Strong Booth-Level Organization
Amritsar, June 12 (K.L. Jit Walia):A large-scale induction training program for BLA-1 and BLA-2 was organized in Amritsar under the leadership of senior leader Anil Joshi from Amritsar North and Saurabh Madan (Mithu), President of the Amritsar Urban Congress District Committee. During the training session, detailed information was provided regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign being conducted by the Election Commission of India.
On this occasion, Vinay Mahajan, SIR Observer for Amritsar, addressed the participants and elaborated on the importance of maintaining accurate electoral rolls, the role of booth-level organizations, and the responsibilities of BLA workers. He emphasized that active and aware teams at the booth level are essential to ensuring transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
The chief guest, Suraj Thakur, AICC Secretary and Co-Incharge of Punjab Congress, urged party workers to strengthen their grassroots efforts. He stated that reaching every eligible voter is essential for strengthening democracy.
Similarly, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Member of Parliament from Amritsar, said in his address that a strong and dedicated booth-level team is the true strength of any organization and forms the foundation of electoral success.
District Congress President Saurabh Madan (Mithu) highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and dedication within the organization. He urged every worker to fulfill their responsibilities toward the party and democracy with complete commitment.
Rajni Sharma, President of the Amritsar Urban Mahila Morcha, was also present on the occasion as a special guest. At the conclusion of the event, gratitude was expressed to all BLA members and office-bearers who participated in large numbers.
