Amritsar: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a grand “Pratibha Samman Samaroh” (Talent Felicitation Ceremony) at BBK DAV College, Amritsar. The primary objective of the event was to recognize and encourage talented students who have excelled in various fields and inspire them to achieve greater success in the future.
During the ceremony, more than 600 meritorious students from 20 schools were honored for their outstanding achievements. Teachers who have made significant contributions to the field of education were also felicitated.
The chief guest at the event was Paramjit Singh Gill, National Executive President of the Himalaya Parivar and a renowned industrialist, while Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman of BBK DAV College, presided over the function. The keynote speaker was Gaurav Atri, Regional Organization Secretary of ABVP’s Northern Region. Special guests included social worker and BJP leader Akshay Sharma, Senior Advocate Advocate Bhasin, BBK DAV College Principal Dr. Pushpendu Walia, ABVP Punjab State Joint Secretary Nandita Gupta, Rajiv Aneja, and Metropolitan Secretary Pradyuman Devgan.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati. In her welcome address, Nandita Gupta highlighted ABVP’s activities and the objectives of the event. Dr. Pushpendu Walia encouraged students to achieve success through discipline, dedication, and hard work.
Addressing the gathering, Akshay Sharma stated that student life forms the foundation of nation-building and urged young people to remain committed to social responsibilities. Gaurav Atri emphasized that talent becomes meaningful only when it is utilized for the welfare of society and the nation. He encouraged students to develop leadership qualities with a “Nation First” mindset, describing ABVP not merely as a student organization but as a strong movement for nation-building.
Chief Guest Paramjit Singh Gill congratulated the awardees and said that today’s youth are the architects of India’s bright future and possess the ability to guide society in a positive direction. The honored students credited their success to their parents, teachers, and continuous hard work.
The event was coordinated by Saurabh Rai, while the stage was conducted by Harpreet Chauhan and Jai Kumar. Prominent attendees included State Organization Secretary Shamsher Singh, National Secretary Aditya Takiyar, Nitin Maheshwari, Shalu Sharma, Ajit, Jujhar Gorsi, Tejinder Singh, Sarvagya Mahajan, Raghav Mahajan, Ayush, Priyanka Sharma, Ashish Rana, Saksham Sharma, and several distinguished members of society.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Metropolitan Secretary Pradyuman Devgan and patriotic slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”
