Amritsar, June 5 (K.L. Jit Walia): A wave of खुशी and enthusiasm swept through Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers after senior BJP leader and National General Secretary Tarun Chugh was announced as the party’s candidate from Madhya Pradesh for the 2026 Rajya Sabha elections.
On this occasion, BJP worker Anoop Kumar Arora visited Tarun Chugh’s office at Lahori Gate to personally congratulate him. Arora expressed his happiness by offering sweets and extending his best wishes to the senior leader.
Several BJP leaders and workers, including Rajesh Mehta, Hemant Mehra, Sanjeev Arora (Bittu Mirchwala), Sarabjit Singh Shanty, and former councillor Lavinder Bunty, also congratulated Tarun Chugh and celebrated the announcement by distributing sweets.
During the gathering, party leaders and workers thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the decision. They stated that Tarun Chugh has served the party and organization with dedication, loyalty, and commitment for many years, and that the party leadership has recognized his contributions by entrusting him with this important responsibility.
Prominent party workers including Neel Kamal Pahwa, Sahil, Rajesh Kumar Manna, Kartik Mahajan, and Sanjeev Sharma were also present on the occasion. All attendees extended their best wishes for Tarun Chugh’s political future and expressed confidence in his success in the upcoming Rajya Sabha election.
