Attacked by Unknown Assailants While Returning Home After Dropping Daughter at Tuition
Fatal Blows Inflicted on Head and Neck with Sharp Weapons
Jandiala Guru, June 1 (Malkit Singh Chheeda):A government school teacher was brutally murdered in broad daylight by unidentified attackers near Rana Kala village under the Jandiala Guru constituency in Amritsar district, creating shock and panic in the area.
The incident caused widespread concern after the teacher was killed in a brutal attack during the daytime. The entire area is gripped by fear and mourning, while the police have launched an intensive investigation.
According to available information, the deceased has been identified as Jagdeep Singh, son of Satnam Singh, a resident of Talwandi near Malowal. He was employed as a government teacher and was posted at a school in Gehri Mandi.
Reports suggest that Jagdeep Singh was returning home after dropping his daughter at a tuition center. When he reached the area near the Narengarh Drain close to Rana Kala village, unidentified assailants attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. He sustained severe injuries to his head and neck. The wounds were so critical that he died on the spot.
Upon receiving information about the incident, DSP Baljit Singh arrived at the scene along with a police team and initiated an investigation. The area was cordoned off, and evidence collection began immediately. Police are also examining CCTV footage from nearby locations to identify the attackers.
Speaking to journalists, DSP Baljit Singh stated that police had received information about Jagdeep Singh being found seriously injured. During the investigation, it was confirmed that he had been attacked with a sharp weapon, causing fatal injuries to his head and neck.
He further stated that preliminary investigations and information gathered from local residents indicate that the deceased may have been involved in a domestic dispute. However, the police are investigating all possible angles and have not reached any final conclusion.
Police officials have assured that the attackers will be identified and arrested soon.
This tragic incident has deeply shocked local residents, who are demanding strict action against those responsible for the murder.
