The tradition of Langar symbolizes selfless service and equality for humanity – Gurjit Singh
Amritsar, May 31 (K.L. Jit Walia): A special religious gathering was organized at Guru Kirpa Bazaar, G.T. Road, Chheharta, under the supervision of noted social workers Manpreet Singh Lally and Mukhtiar Singh Pappu, for the welfare of all and the betterment of society. On this occasion, an uninterrupted community langar (free meal service) was also served to seek the blessings of the Guru and to spread the message of brotherhood, unity, and peace in society.
A large number of local residents, shopkeepers, and devotees participated in the event. The congregation partook in the Guru’s Langar and offered prayers for the welfare of all, the progress of the nation, and the prosperity of the people.
Prominent social worker and Vice President of Gurdwara Kartar Nagar Chheharta, Gurjit Singh (Sarabjit Auto Spare Parts), who attended as a special guest, inaugurated the langar service. He stated that the tradition of Langar established by the Sikh Gurus represents selfless service and equality among all human beings. Such religious events strengthen mutual love, harmony, and the spirit of service in society.
Event organizers Manpreet Singh Lally and Mukhtiar Singh Pappu thanked the devotees for their participation and said that, with the Guru’s blessings, such religious gatherings are organized every month to further promote the values of service, remembrance of God, and humanity.
Among those present were Raja A.C. Wale, Sarabjit Singh (Spare Parts Dealer), Pratap Singh Sandhu, Avtar Singh, and several other distinguished members of the community. The devotees enthusiastically participated in the service and enjoyed the Guru’s Langar with devotion and reverence.
