Majitha, May 27 (Subhash Chandra Bhagat) – An oath-taking ceremony for student leaders elected through various school activities was organized at Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School under the supervision of Principal Sister Dr. Wilfy.
The ceremony was attended by Air Force officer Mr. Ramesh Raj (Junior Warrant Officer) as the chief guest, while Captain Mr. Mahesh Jangam and Mr. Anil Kumar attended as guests of honor.
The event began during the school’s morning assembly, where NCC students and the school band welcomed the chief guests and management in a unique and impressive manner. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and prayers.
Teachers warmly welcomed the guests, and the school management presented bouquets to honor them.
Students elected as school leaders took an oath to perform their duties with honesty and dedication. From Class 10, Sahibdeep Singh was selected as Head Boy and Navjot Kaur as Head Girl, while Advan and Anaya represented the KG section. Along with them, Assistant Head Boy Abhayveer Singh and Assistant Head Girl Ekampreet Kaur from Class 9 also took the oath.
Apart from these, students selected as leaders for various school activities including cultural, social, literary, discipline, eco-ambassador, and speech coordination departments also pledged to carry out their responsibilities sincerely.
The school has four houses, each assigned a distinct identity:

Father Augustine John Ooken (Green House)
Carles Garden (Red House)
Dominic Savio Garden (Yellow House)
Students seated according to their respective houses enthusiastically participated in the ceremony and applauded the newly elected representatives.
During their motivational speeches, the chief guests congratulated the selected students and wished them success in the future. They also appreciated the discipline maintained by the students and congratulated the school principal and entire staff for organizing the event successfully. At the end of the program, teachers expressed heartfelt thanks to the guests, school management, staff members, and students.
