Amritsar, May 23 (K.L. Jit Walia, Phuljit Varpal) – During an impressive function held at the residence of former South constituency MLA Inderbir Singh Bulairia, Ward No. 44 Councillor Jaswinder Singh Shergill was congratulated on being appointed Vice Chairman of the SC Department of the Punjab Pradesh Congress. On this occasion, former MLA Bulairia and the present councillors honored Jaswinder Singh Shergill by offering him sweets and presenting a siropa (ceremonial robe).
Addressing the gathering, former MLA Inderbir Singh Bulairia said that the Congress Party has always honored hardworking, honest, and grassroots leaders. He stated that Jaswinder Singh Shergill would continue to strongly convey the party’s policies to the people and would fulfill his new responsibility with complete honesty and dedication.
Bulairia further said that the responsibility given by the Punjab Pradesh Congress is not only a matter of pride for Shergill but also a proud moment for Congress workers of the South constituency. He added that the Congress Party is becoming stronger again due to the hard work and dedication of party workers.
