Amritsar, May 18 (K.L. Jit Walia) — A seminar was organized today at a renowned hotel in the city under the Punjab Government’s RAMP Scheme as part of the Advanced Capacity Building Program. During the seminar, various schemes aimed at promoting and strengthening small-scale industries were discussed in detail.
Professor Ravjit Kaur stated that under the Punjab Government’s new Industrial Policy, a provision of up to 125% subsidy has been introduced to encourage small industries in border districts of Punjab, including Amritsar. She urged industrialists to complete the necessary documentation to avail themselves of these benefits.
Professor Meenu Dheeman emphasized that at least ten industrialists should come together to form a common cluster so that they can avoid unhealthy competition and prevent selling their products at lower prices.
Mr. Davinder Singh explained the advantages of saving industrial fuel resources such as electricity and coal and advised industries to conduct regular energy audits for better efficiency and cost management.
The seminar witnessed participation from leading industrialists, businessmen, and representatives of social organizations from the city. Prominent attendees included World Sikh Chamber of Commerce Chairman Rajinder Singh Marwaha, Trade Board Punjab President Pyare Lal Seth, Amritsar Vikas Manch Patron Principal Kulwant Singh Ankhi, National Chairman of Legal Rights Protection Baldev Singh Randhawa, Tajinder Pal Singh Bobby Badshah, World Sikh Chamber of Commerce President Harpreet Singh Bhatia, and Laghu Udyog Bharti Chairman Amit Kapoor.
The expert speakers at the seminar also provided satisfactory answers to questions raised by Rajinder Singh Marwaha, Pyare Lal Seth, and other participants.
