Chowk Mehta, May 5 (Tarsem Singh Randhawa): Under the leadership of Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa, Damdami Taksal organized Shaheedi Diwans at Gurdwara Bhagtan Da Dera, Tarsikka, as part of a series of religious programs being held ahead of the 42nd martyrdom anniversary of the martyrs of the Third Ghallughara, which will be observed on June 6 at Taksal Headquarters Gurdwara Gurdarshan Prakash Mehta.
The religious programs, which began on May 1 in different towns, include Shabad Kirtan and Katha sessions. The Shaheedi Diwan at Tarsikka was held from 12 noon to 2 PM.
During the program, the Hazoori Raagi Jatha led by Bhai Gurlal Singh of Damdami Taksal mesmerized the congregation with soulful and melodious Gurbani Kirtan, creating a spiritual atmosphere. Later, Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa delivered religious discourse and narrated Sikh history to the devotees.
On this occasion, several prominent religious personalities including Sant Baba Sajjan Singh Guru Ki Ber Sahib, Sant Baba Gurbhej Singh Khuzala, Sant Baba Navtej Singh Cheleyana Sahib, Sant Baba Malkit Singh Jabbowal, Sant Baba Swinder Singh Tahli Sahib, Sant Baba Sardara Singh Guru Ka Bagh, Sant Baba Kanwaljit Singh Nagiana Sahib, Jathedar Baba Nirvair Singh, Chairman Gurdeep Singh, Principal Harshdeep Singh, Dr. Avtar Singh Butter, Principal Gurdeep Singh Jalal Usman, Jathedar Baba Ajit Singh Mukhi Tarna Dal Mehta, Jathedar Bohar Singh, Giani Rajinderpal Singh Rajasthani, Principal Jobanpreet Singh, and Bhai Harchand Singh were present along with a large number of devotees and local dignitaries.
