Amritsar, May 6 (Sham Sunder): Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has announced admissions for the academic session 2026–27 for more than 135 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses. Admissions will be conducted at the university’s main campus as well as regional campuses.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh said that GNDU is the only university in Punjab to receive Category-1 status and has been awarded an A++ grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.85/4.0, one of the highest among universities in the country. He added that the university has also been recognized by the UGC as a “University with Potential for Excellence.”
He stated that the university is committed to providing high-quality education in line with global academic and industrial standards. Keeping in view the changing needs of students and industries, the university is continuously introducing new research-based and career-oriented courses. He also mentioned that the admission process has been made transparent, student-friendly, and convenient for students from India and abroad.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Harvinder Singh Saini informed that online registration for undergraduate, postgraduate, five-year integrated, diploma, and certificate courses will begin from May 8, 2026. He added that Sports Medicine courses approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, are also available.
He said that details regarding eligibility criteria, admission schedule, fee structure, scholarships, and information for foreign/NRI students are available in the prospectus and on the university website.
He further informed that admissions to LL.B. (3-year) and B.A. LL.B. (5-year) courses will be conducted through centralized counselling, while a separate notification will be issued for Ph.D. admissions. Students have been advised to regularly visit the university website for the latest updates.
