Amritsar, April 23 (Phuljeet Singh Varpal): Under the guidance of Punjab Congress Vice President and former MLA Inderbir Singh Bullaria, a special meeting was organized in the South constituency of Amritsar by Urban Congress Vice President and Ward No. 43 in-charge Barjinder Singh Tinku to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, several leaders and workers who had left Shiromani Akali Dal and other parties joined the Indian National Congress. Prominent among them were Baljinder Singh Goldy, Onkar Singh Bittu, Manpreet Singh, Ram Singh, Jeet Singh Sonu, Anuraj Singh, Jaskaran Singh Babra, Jaspal Singh Sonu, Bobby Ji, Gurjeet Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Harjinta Singh, Aarti Singh, Tajinder Singh, Jatinder Kumal, Vikram Singh, Principal Kuldeep Singh, and Harpreet Singh.
The newly inducted members were honored with siropa and encouraged to actively contribute towards strengthening the party in the South constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Inderbir Singh Bullaria and Barjinder Singh Tinku stated that opposition parties are making every effort to weaken the Congress in Punjab, but their attempts will not succeed. They emphasized that party workers will go door-to-door to connect with people and raise awareness.
They expressed confidence that with the dedication and hard work of party workers, the Congress will form a strong government in Punjab in 2027. They added that the real strength of the party lies in its committed cadre, whose support will lead the party to major success in the coming years.
