Amritsar, March 31 (K.L. Jit Walia) – The DC Office Employees Union held a protest rally against the arrest of Punjab President Tajinder Singh Nangal by the Jandiala Guru police. The rally was chaired by District President Ashneel Kumar Sharma of the union.
Tajinder Singh Nangal stated that an FIR has still not been registered against SHO Naresh Kumar of Jandiala police station, despite the alleged misconduct and rough treatment by the police. District President Sharma said that the police administration had assured them that action would be taken against the SHO, but nothing has been done so far.
Sharma further claimed that there seems to be an attempt to suppress the matter. He warned that if their demands are not addressed, the union would intensify its struggle and continue to press for justice.
