Amritsar, March 28 (K. L. Jit Walia):Setting a remarkable example of social service, Baba Amarbir Singh Sandhu organized the marriages of 13 daughters today at Gurdwara Baba Sri Chand Ji, embodying the principle of “Gareeb Da Muh Guru Ki Golak”. On this occasion, each bride was also given ₹1,00,000 as shagun (a traditional gift).
Under this humanitarian initiative, Baba Amarbir Singh Sandhu has so far facilitated the marriages of more than 6,242 daughters across Punjab. These events are conducted without any discrimination based on caste or religion, emphasizing humanity above all.
Notably, he is also running a daily langar service at Guru Nanak Hospital, where around 750 patients are served meals every day—reflecting his deep commitment to selfless service.
Addressing the large gathering on the occasion, Baba Amarbir Singh Sandhu said that his family has been engaged in social service since 1998, and this mission will continue in the future. He emphasized that they are always ready to help those in need.
Appreciating this noble initiative, Bhai Lokdeep Singh Ghumana Wale described it as an inspiring step for society.
