Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation Is a Historic Victory for Youth Power
Amritsar, July 25 (K.L. Jit Walia): Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Wing (Majha Zone) and President of the Ajnala Bar Association, described the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a historic victory for millions of young people and Gen Z across the country. He said the development reflects the growing strength, awareness, and democratic power of the youth.
Speaking to the media, Advocate Nijjar said the resignation is not merely the exit of a Union Minister but the result of the prolonged struggle of millions of students whose futures were allegedly affected by paper leak incidents. He said countless young aspirants had spent years preparing for competitive examinations, only to see their dreams and careers disrupted due to alleged irregularities in the examination system.
He stated that the country’s youth are now more aware, organized, and conscious of their rights than ever before. Whenever attempts are made to compromise the future of students, young people will continue to oppose such actions through democratic means. According to him, the unity of the youth has demonstrated that when people raise their voices together, even the strongest governments are compelled to respect public sentiment.
Targeting the BJP-led Central Government, Advocate Nijjar said the government should prioritize resolving the concerns of students and ordinary citizens. He emphasized that making the education system transparent, credible, and corruption-free is the need of the hour so that no deserving student suffers because of irregularities.
Congratulating students, youth, Gen Z, and everyone associated with the movement, he said the victory belongs to every young person who stood up for their rights. He added that the future of Punjab and the nation lies in the hands of its youth and expressed confidence that truth, justice, and democracy ultimately prevail.
Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar expressed hope that effective measures would be taken in the future to make the education system and recruitment examinations completely fair and transparent, ensuring that every young person gets an equal opportunity to progress based on merit.
