Amritsar, July 25 (K.L. Jit Walia): Under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme being implemented by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, MLA Jeevanjot Kaur of the East Assembly constituency flagged off the 42nd bus carrying pilgrims from Ward No. 18, Verka, with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was also attended by Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Wing (Majha Zone), Verka Block President, and Ward In-charge.
A large number of devotees gathered to wish the pilgrims a safe and successful journey. The pilgrims expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, saying that the welfare scheme is providing people from all sections of society with an opportunity to visit prominent religious and historical places across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jeevanjot Kaur said that the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme has proved to be highly beneficial for the people. She stated that lakhs of devotees have already visited their revered gurdwaras and other religious places through the scheme. She added that the Mann Government is steadily fulfilling its promises and implementing public welfare initiatives with complete dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar described the pilgrimage scheme as a commendable initiative that respects the religious sentiments of the people. He prayed for the safe, peaceful, and successful journey of all the pilgrims visiting the sacred shrines.
Among those present were Daljit Singh, Jasdeep Singh (Supervisor), Dalraj Singh, along with several party leaders and workers. The attendees praised the Punjab Government’s initiative, stating that such welfare schemes not only honor the religious sentiments of the people but also strengthen communal harmony, brotherhood, and social unity.
