Rajesh Kumar Danny Elected Chairman, Phuljit Singh Varpal Becomes President
Amritsar, June 18 (Phuljit Singh Varpal/Manjeet Singh): With the objective of uniting journalists on a common platform and safeguarding their professional interests, the Chatiwind Gate Press Club Welfare Association (Regd.) Punjab was formally constituted today at Dera Sant Baba Bhuri Wale on Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar.
On this occasion, sewadars representing Sant Baba Kashmir Singh Puri Wale attended the event and honored the newly appointed office-bearers with siropas (robes of honor) and mementos.
A new executive committee was unanimously elected. The office-bearers emphasized that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy and that strengthening their voice is a vital need of the time.

Several journalists and members, including Satnam Singh Salu, Dilsher Singh Raja, Satnam Singh Sol, Pradeep Singh Sandhu, and Gurjeet Singh Khalsa, were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Rajesh Kumar Danny, President Phuljit Singh Varpal, and General Secretary Gagandeep Singh Bedi stated that the primary objective of the organization is to address issues faced by journalists, uphold social responsibilities, raise a voice against discrimination toward media professionals, and promote higher standards in journalism.
They further stated that the association will act as a strong bridge between the administration and the press while also serving as a voice for marginalized and underprivileged sections of society.
All members pledged to work collectively and vowed to advocate for new welfare schemes for journalists in the future.
