Amritsar, June 8 (K.L. Jit Walia):- Taking another major step towards improving the sewerage infrastructure of Amritsar, the Municipal Corporation has introduced a state-of-the-art Super Sucker Machine to ensure a cleaner and more efficient sewerage system. Mayor Jatinder Singh Bhatia inaugurated the advanced machine at Company Bagh (Panorama) and dedicated it to public service.
The machine is equipped with two drum tanks of 10,000 liters capacity each, enabling it to effectively clean and maintain sewer lines across the city. Speaking to the media, Mayor Bhatia stated that the machine will provide immediate solutions to sewer blockage problems, especially in narrow streets, old city areas, and busy markets.
Using high-pressure jetting technology, the machine is capable of deep cleaning sewer pipelines. The large-capacity tanks will collect sludge and wastewater removed from the pipelines and transport it safely for disposal, preventing the spread of filth on roads and public places.
Mayor Bhatia also directed Municipal Corporation officials to ensure the machine is utilized in a planned and systematic manner so that residents of all parts of the city, particularly densely populated and old areas, can benefit from this modern facility.
