Amritsar, June 1 (K.L. Jit Walia, Phuljit Varpal):The third Ranveer Classic All India Raw Bench Press Championship was organized by Strongman of India Shamsher Singh Shera along with his associates. A total of 49 teams participated in the competition, and the winning teams were honored with trophies and cash prizes.
Prominent personalities who attended the event included MLA Jeevanjot Kaur, Punjab Youth Forum President and former Councillor Jaskirat Singh Sultanwind, senior BJP leader Harjinder Singh Thekedar, Tejveer Singh Rana Rok, former Chief Minister Om Prakash Soni, former Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi, Councillor Vikas Soni, President of Asia and India Raw Powerlifting Federation India Jagpreet Singh Captain, Harjinder Singh Raja, social worker Jaspreet Singh, ACP Crime Harminder Singh Sandhu, Chairman of Sarbat Da Bhala Organization Sukhraj Singh Sohal, BJP leader Gurpratap Singh Tikka, Miri Piri Sports Club Chairman Germanjit Singh Bath, Jasmeet Singh Sodhi, Prakash Singh AP Wale, Arjinder Singh Ladi, Congress General Secretary Gary Malerkotla, EMC Hospital MD Pawan Arora, SHO B-Division Baljinder Singh Aulakh, singer Deep Babbar, Lakhwinder Singh Arshi, and several others.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of Shamsher Singh Shera in organizing the championship and stated that such events inspire and guide the youth in a positive direction. They emphasized that society should support such initiatives to help young people stay away from drug abuse.
Jagpreet Singh Captain, President of the Asia and India Raw Powerlifting Federation India, praised Shera’s contribution and appointed him as the Vice President of the Federation.
