Chohla Sahib (Navjit Sonu):Renowned Sikh poet and Kavishar (ballad singer) Giani Gurmukh Singh M.A. was specially honored upon his arrival in the United States. Giani Gurmukh Singh has rendered outstanding service to the Sikh community through Kavishari for nearly 50 years alongside the legendary Kavishar, Giani Joga Singh Jogi, who is widely regarded as the uncrowned king of Kavishari.
At Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Guru Ladho Re, USA, the entire management committee, along with Bhai Balkar Singh, son of Shaheed Bhai Nirmal Singh Chohla Sahib, honored Giani Gurmukh Singh M.A. with a traditional Siropa (robe of honor).
On this occasion, Giani Gurmukh Singh delighted the congregation with his spiritual lectures and captivating performances, sharing the glory and teachings of the Guru through his unique style of Kavishari and rhythmic recitations.
